Bwindi national park

From Kisoro we went to Buhoma, the village at the entrance of Bwindi National Park. This park is the home of about 360 mountain gorillas. The forest is more dense than in Rwanda and if you want to make pictures, be aware of the poor light because you are walking in the rainforest.

Van Kisoro zijn we naar Buhoma gegaan, het dorpje aan de ingang van het Bwindi national park.In dit park leven ongeveer 360 berggorilla's. Het bos is veel dichter begroeid dan in Ruanda, dus houdt rekening met het feit dat je weinig licht hebt als je foto's wilt maken. Je zit immers in het regenwoud.

Because of the density of the forest we only could make five pictures and about 4 minutes of video during the hour we were allowed to stay with the gorillas. The gorillas were hiding in the bushes. In Rwanda weI were able to shoot more than 20 minutes of video. But maybe we were very lucky in Rwanda and not so lucky in Bwindi ...... It's not a zoo!

Als gevolg van de dichte begroeiing kon ik maar vijf foto's en 4 minuten video schieten in het uur dat we bij de gorilla's mochten doorbrengen: De gorilla's bleven vrijwel continu in de bosjes. In Ruanda heb ik meer dan 20 minuten aan video kunnen schieten. Misschien had ik veel geluk in Ruanda en had ik dat totaal niet in Bwindi, maar het is geen dierentuin en alles blijft gelukkig heel onvoorspelbaar.
